When it came to making a new album, Tim Felten, one of the founders of The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble, said the band knew it wanted to make a statement.

That’s how its new album, “Build Bridges,” came together.

“I was kind of thinking about the expression ‘to build bridges, not walls’ … and kind of relating to our current political climate and this monstrosity that we seem to need to build on the southern border,” Felten said. “And just in general, in life, it’s better to build bridges, than walls in relationships.”
