MONTCLAIR, NJ — It’s been 10 years since the first spread its wings. And after a decade of enriching the local community with one of the region’s premier jazz events, organizers – and the musicians who make it all happen – are still going strong.

In total, this year’s 16-day festival will feature more than 250 jazz musicians, 30 musical acts, two marquee stages, seven venues and 20 concerts.

The 2019 festival will kick off Friday, July 26 with hosted by “DJ Brother Mister,” the alter ego of six-time Grammy-winner and the festival’s artistic director, Christian McBride.

The festival will end with a free, all-day concert . The event will also feature a beer garden, a parking shuttle, a bike valet and food and craft concessions. This year’s headliners include Bettye LaVette, Christian McBride, Joey Defrancesco, Mark Whitfield, Quincy Phillips and Eddie Palmieri.
