A 67-year-old Temperance man was arrested by Monroe Police in connection with causing a disturbance at the River Raisin Jazz Festival in Monroe Saturday.

A 67-year-old Temperance man was arrested by Monroe Police in connection with causing a disturbance at the River Raisin Jazz Festival in Monroe Saturday.

According to police reports, the man was interfering with technicians working in an audio tent next to the main stage at St. Mary’s Park about 3 p.m. Saturday. The man claimed he was an event organizer and involved with the festival. Festival staff told police he was “in no way associated” with the event. According to Muskegon Police, the man also caused problems with a jazz festival there.

The suspect was lodged in the Monroe County Jail without incident on a charge of disorderly conduct.
