ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – Over the weekend the community had the perfect opportunity to enjoy two classics, blues and delicious ques, in Downtown Alexandria!
It’s local Attorney Thomas Wahlder’s favorite combination. He wanted to share them with the community that he has practiced law in for more than 30 years.
The Blues and Ques event was held in Alexandria Convention Hall with live performances by the Side Men and the Blue Monday Band.
The barbecue spread came from BubbaQue BBQ. Wahlder held the event free of charge to give back to his community.
“This is the first annual Blues and Ques,” Wahlder said. “We have always loved blues music, so this year we decided to give it back to the community. I have been in Alexandria 30 some odd years now, so finally we decided to do something for the community.”
Wahlder said he is excited to make it an annual tradition.
