Little Steven & Disciples of Soul to play College Street Music Hall in New Haven – Danbury News Times

College Street Music Hall will feature a New Jersey legend on its stage Tuesday, July 16. “Little Steven” Van Zandt is not only Bruce Springsteen’s longtime collaborator but a storied producer, actor (Silvio on “The Sopranos”), activist, radio host and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.

He brings his band Little Steven And The Disciples of Soul to College Street, having released the album “Soulfire” in 2017 and a three-disc “Soulfire Live!” after that.

Younger listeners may not realize that Van Zandt helped create the “Jersey Shore” sound with the Asbury Jukes before becoming a founding member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band; he also produced the seminal Springsteen albums “The River” and “Born in the U.S.A.” as well as albums for Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Gary U.S. Bonds and others.

Every ticket for Tuesday’s all-ages show includes a CD copy of Little Steven And The Disciples of Soul’s new album, “Summer of Sorcery.”
