The annual Gospel Music and Blues festivals will also receive the virtual treatment in the coming weeks, the city said.
The live events were canceled out of concern over the spread of the coronavirus at large gatherings, which aren’t permitted in the state of Illinois until it reaches the fifth and final phase of its reopening plan. (Currently, Illinois is in phase two, which only permits gatherings of 10 or fewer.)
The Gospel Music Festival will be streamed via those same channels from 6-8 p.m. May 29 and May 30. Blues Fest will follow suit from 6-8 p.m. June 5-7.
