Harlem based artist, Sista Zock’s music straddles the fence between Spoken Word/Song and Jazz Hip-Hop and Jazz. ZOCK has been performing in and around NYC since 2006 with various artist Dennis Davis, Gregory Porter, Chip Crawford, Lakecia Benjamin, Aziza Miller, Lady Cantrese, Kelvyn Bell. She has worked alongside and or shared the stage/film with Wole Soyinka, Ben Vereen, Erykah Badu, Stephen Baldwin, Loretta Divine, Doug E Fresh and more. Her performance can be intimate enough for a living room setting or can power up a small city with drumming, dancing and live models. Her body of work is dedicated to the Fallen Soldiers, the ones who have sacrificed their lives for the betterment of others, the Victims of senseless killings, to the ones who are ahead of their time and the ones whose time has yet to come. Multi-instrumentalist, composer, Bop raconteur and Renaissance man David Amram has been on the music scene since the early 1950’s. He started his professional life in music as a French Hornist in the National Symphony Orchestra in 1951. He moved to New York City in 1955 and played French horn in the legendary jazz bands of Charles Mingus, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton and Oscar Pettiford. David Amram was the first composer-in-residence for the N.Y. Philharmonic, chosen by Leonard Bernstein in 1966, and composed the scores for films including Splendor In The Grass, The Manchurian Candidate and many more. He has toured the world extensively, working as a musician and a conductor in over 35 countries, spreading love, music and inspiration to so many.
