A Charlie Brown Jazz concert with the Eric Mintel Quartet will be held at the Newtown Theatre on Dec. 15.

NEWTOWN, PA — A Charlie Brown Jazz concert with the Eric Mintel Quartet will be held at the Newtown Theatre on Dec. 15.
The event starts at at 3 p.m. and will feature the music from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and a selection of original songs. Tickets are $25 in advance through or $35 at the door on the day of the concert.
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” first aired in 1965. The animated TV special is now a popular holiday staple.

The Eric Mintel Quartet has been playing its electrifying brand of jazz for more than 25 years, largely in the Greater Philadelphia region. But it has ventured beyond at the request of some notable jazz fans, including Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. The quartet has also performed at the Kennedy Center on several occasions.
The band is made up of pianist and composer Eric Mintel, saxophonist Nelson Hill, bassist Brian Bortz, and drummer Dave Mohn.
